Norwich - Rifle Parade Ground
Unthank Road : NR2 1SJ The first bicycle race on the Rifle Parade Ground was on Whit Tuesday May 15th 1883 and the event was a bicycle handicap race, ‘distance about 1½ miles'. The bicycle race was part of a sports meeting that consisted mainly of horse and pony racing.

The Norwich Athletic Club held their first annual sports meeting at the Rifle Parade Ground on July 19th 1883. Along with the running races, there were two bicycle events, a one mile club handicap race and a two miles open handicap race.

The Norwich AC held their sports at the Lakenham Ground the following year and did not return to the Parade Ground. There does not seem to have been any further bicycle racing on the ground after this.
